Join our UI/UX team in Tokyo as a Mobile-First Designer, working together with other designers, PMs, and engineers to craft native app experiences that feel “designed for device.” You know the UX patterns that set iOS and Android apart from responsive web design, and you’ll carry designs from sketches through shipped screens.

• Monthly salary: 420,000 to 625,000 JPY (12 months plus 2 bonuses)

• Design native mobile app interfaces for a variety of consumer-facing apps
• Collaborate with product management and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience
• Execute all visual design stages from concept to final handoff to engineering
• Plan and run UX research (interviews, usability tests on devices), analyze insights, and iterate
• Design, conduct, and analyze the results of experiments to precisely quantify the impact of varying design components
• Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards
• Assist in developing, maintaining and documenting a multi-brand design system
• Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, prototypes and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
• Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders

• 3+ years of experience in designing native mobile interfaces
• Portfolio showcasing at least one mobile app project
• Expertise in Figma, from low-fi wireframes through developer handoff
• Excellent visual design skills with an eye for detail, typography, and colors
• Experience with designing using design system components
• Knowledge of common mobile UI/UX patterns
• Basic understanding of technical impact and feasibility of UI designs
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and other visual design tools
• Stay current on trends in UI/UX design and app/digital service market
• Ability to work in an international and multi-cultural team

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience working with Design Tokens
• Familiarity with accessibility best practices
• Illustration and/or motion-design skills
• Familiarity with prototyping tools (Protopie, etc.)
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Front-end development experience (especially Flutter/Dart)

English:

• Working proficiency
• Most of communication will be conducted in English, our company language

Japanese:

• Intermediate proficiency (esp. reading & writing)
• Ability to understand and craft basic UI copy using common Japanese mobile app terminology
