ZALON AND ZOOOM HAVE IDEAS TO SHARE

zooom teams up with Kunsthilfe Salzburg

On Wednesday evening, September 12th 2018, zooom’s Austrian headquarters in Fuschl am See played host to an exciting new event series called ‘ZALON’. With the motto ‘Ideas to share’, ZALON offers a stage for the discussion of concepts, perspectives and ideas that are driving today's creative communities and individuals.

The event took place In cooperation with Kunsthilfe Salzburg who aim to connect young talent with industry professionals. This provides them with new opportunities and draws attention to the value and importance of supporting young artists. This notion is something our team at zooom can really get behind, so we were both humbled and honored to have facilitated this inspiring evening. Eva Weissenbacher, chairwoman of Kunsthilfe Salzburg explains; "It’s fantastic working with partners like zooom to support our society and economy by putting the spotlight onto upcoming artists."

Also in attendance was Karin Rehn-Kaufmann, chief international representative of the Leica galleries. Her work at the intersection of art and economy made her a great speaker for the event. Together with Dominique Schichtle, board member of Kunsthilfe Salzburg, the two of them held an insightful and passionate discussion about the merits of supporting the next generation of creators.

Other highlights of the evening included incredible performances from violinist Alexandra Seywald and young tenor Joachim Bischof, as well as a rendition from the internationally accomplished dancer Alexander Wengler. Discussing the event, zooom CEO Ulrich Grill explains; "Formats like ZALON offer the rare opportunity to bring creative innovators together under one roof, while pushing the future of the industry in entirely new ways.”
