Audix Brand Refresh

Driven to make you sound better

AUDIX is a heritage microphone brand from Wilsonville, Oregon, USA. The brand was founded in 1984 to design, engineer, and manufacture high-performing, innovative products that advance the audio industry. Year after year, AUDIX microphones are recognized for their innovative design, performance, quality, and durability, all while remaining accessible and offering good value for artists. The American brand approached us in 2023 to develop an extensive brand relaunch, aiming to establish a modern and forward-thinking global presence.

A change of tune

For the new direction for AUDIX, we started with a rebranding from the ground up. Our creative team first redefined the brand in a comprehensive brand equity through workshops and interviews in Portland, USA. Subsequently, the corporate identity was completely revamped, laying the foundation for a successful brand presence with a new and fresh look and feel. We changed the brand colors from the classic, but dated, gold to a bright, fresh turquoise. We focused on what differentiates AUDIX from the competition: its strong name, heritage, and purpose-built products designed and created with care. We agreed to focus on the passion and craft of musicians and speakers and how AUDIX empowers them to perform at their highest. We updated the brand's tone of voice for more coherent storytelling across touchpoints. In visual language, we updated the typography, colors, and crucially focused on the "X" from AUDIX as a key element for storytelling.

Turning it up.

Equipped with the new corporate identity, it was now time to develop a high-reach brand campaign to establish AUDIX as a modern and professional audio brand. The new campaign targets a younger audience and will be visible both online and in specialty magazines and in the stores of the world's largest music retailers. As mentioned, the "X" from AUDIX was central to any assets we created. We used the "X" as a window that music acts as a way to express one’s individuality. We paired the striking imagery with headlines that illuminate the passion of the performers and the quality of AUDIX. The headline “Hearing is Believing” demonstrates the empowerment that having high-quality microphones brings.
